It's August here in Florida so you know we're all impatiently waiting for the autumn breeze to bless us with its presence. Even though it feels like 200 degrees outside, we can still pretend its fall to bring you some dusty blue and cranberry wedding realness, right!? We had an amazing team of vendors come together to showcase their absolute best work. Continue reading to find out all of the vendor details and inspiration behind the shoot.

T H E V E N U E - Pearl in the Wild
Pearl in the Wild is one of Tallahassee's newest wedding and event venues. Situated on 200 lush acres, the venue offers a country-style setting for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The 10,000-square-foot classic barn features unique details such as Indian doors and Louisiana lighting. The Pearl offers two ceremony sites including a beautiful chapel and oak tree. These photos by Grits Photography really capture the essence and beauty that the Pearl has to offer.

This stunning suit is by Jim's Formal Wear provided by the newest bridal boutique in Tallahassee, White Weddings. Alex Barnes, manager of White Weddings Tallahassee says that grooms have been loving the newer indigo color trend as opposed to traditional navy. Paired with burgundy accents, this suit is a showstopper. Courtney Wahl Photography captured all of the best details.

This gown had us drooling from the second we saw it. Designed by Maggie Sottero and provided by White Weddings, Alex describes this dress as a traditional style made new again. The simplicity draws attention to the bride, while the train and sleeve detailing keep you captivated. Courtney Wahl Photography did a stunning job capturing the intricate details of this beautiful gown.

Amanda Ackles from Soleil 7 Salon and Spa created a beautiful braided updo. It was the perfect style to compliment the style of the dress and easily hold up the veil. These getting ready shots were captured by Grits Photography.

Aysia Sylvia transformed beauty into grace when she worked her makeup magic. The application was flawless and truly added to the natural bridal glow- without being overdone. SōDough Baking Co. created an AMAZING single-tier cake. When I tell you amazing - I mean it in all aspects - look and taste. Probably one of the best cakes we have all ever had. I think everyone at the shoot took home a whole layer of it, it was that good. Courtney Wahl Photography took these amazing pictures. The cake was a simple vanilla bean layered with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream. Tracy Powell at SoDough says she "prefers to use Swiss buttercream for all our cakes versus heavier American-style buttercream because it provides a silky texture and a light flavor. Because this was something we were able to play around with creatively, we went with a single tall tier for a modern boho look instead of a traditional tiered cake. It makes a big statement and isn't something you'll see at every wedding. The decor we wanted to be super simple florals and the creeping petals up the side of the cake lends texture and moves the eye up that tall tier." Sō Delicious!

Amplify DJ's provided stunning uplighting that really added to the overall atmosphere at Pearl in the Wild. We are pretty firm believers that no event space is truly finished without some customized lighting. It truly transforms the space. If a DJ isn't your thing for your intimate ceremony, consider hiring one of Amplify's live musicians! It adds the "WOW" factor to your big day. Poppie Studios Photography captured these beautiful photos of the Amplify team.

Emily of Poppie Studios Design created (and photographed) this amazing invitation suite. The custom wedding invitation suite gave a sneak peek to guests about the theme of the day. Fading watercolor blue backgrounds were paired with a surprising velvet texture on the back of the invitation. Classic serif fonts helped balance a classic, timelessness when compared to the more trendy elements of the design, like the velvet texture. A romantic touch came from the hand-drawn floral pattern on the backs of the RSVP and Info cards. Emily, owner of Poppie Studios, and the artist behind this custom wedding invitation suite says “it can be easy to fall in love with weddings trends. We want to stand out and be different. And I love it when clients bring me their ideas that are full of these fun elements, like watercolor backgrounds. But I also recommend balancing those fun, trendy wishlist items with timeless, classical elements. I don’t want my brides to look back and have any regrets, like we do when looking at the puffy sleeves of bridesmaid dresses from the 80s.”

We of course want to give an honorable mention to our sweetest couple, Megan Stroh and James White. They were absolute naturals!
